Native mobile or a PWA? The question we ask before we answer

The "PWAs are good enough" debate keeps resurfacing - and the honest answer keeps changing. iOS finally allows installable web apps with push notifications, but third-party in-app purchases still go through the App Store. Android is largely happy either way. So the question isn't technical anymore; it's commercial.

Three questions decide it for us: do you need to monetise inside the app (native), do you ship updates more than once a week (PWA), and is App Store discovery a real channel for you (native again)? On enterprise tools, PWAs win nine times out of ten. On consumer products with subscription revenue, native still does.
